Message of the day

Message of the Day is an optional feature you may wish to add to your site. This can be used to advertise products on your site or as a 'honeypot' to enhance site productivity. These messages are entered by you and depending on how many messages are entered, each time the page is refreshed, the message changes as it is randomly generated.

The way that Message of the Day is displayed is controlled by the template and styles sheet, this means that all that is required to be set is the actual message. If you would like the appearance of your message or the place where it sits on your website changed, you will need to speak with a Customer Community.

To access Message of the day, go to your website and login as an Admin
Click on "Launch the Admin module"
Go to 'Message of the day' under Content tab
If you wish to make changes to an existing message, simply click on the Pencil (edit) icon.

Click on Create New to enter a new message
Enter a word or a sentence as your message in the Text area and click Add to add the new message to your site

If you would like your Message of the Day to appear within the content of a page, you will need to use the Message of the Day content function.

Create a page (skip this step if page is already created). See the Creating pages section for details.

Add the function for the Message of the Day. The function to display the highlights on the page is messageoftheday}.
