Nuix Meets Industry Need for Platform Solution With The Release Of Its New Enterprise eDiscovery Software V2.16

The speed and power of Nuix's advanced indexing, search and review capabilities are now enhanced by an important and valuable new feature: the ability to integrate the functionality of third party, best in class software and incorporate the results into Nuix's eDiscovery processes.

Rather than develop Nuix' own versions of, for example, Optical Character Recognition software or speech-to-text applications, Nuix has made it possible for the user to export specific documents or data sets to the users' chosen "best of breed" 3rd party programs and then bring the resultant processed files back into Nuix for further search and review.

Clients who want to proactively manage their data will benefit from another new feature, the capability to fully automate workflow programs like exports to OCR, translation and decryption software, as well as daily index updates, customised searches and auto-tagging.

Proactive data management also means understanding that the backing up all of a company's data and storing it is not enough, the company must have real time access to every detail and relationship hidden within the dataset. The quality of the indexing is what gives an organisation power over its data set and the Nuix indexation allows the user to search, investigate, cull, identify, review and export across tens of terabytes of emails, documents, metadata and images in seconds and minutes instead of weeks and months.

An additional feature of v2.16's eDiscovery platform is the ability to search for items of data across an entire library of historical cases, or to search within multiple cases for IP addresses, names, fax numbers or that one email address that appears in several historical cases and finally ties a suspect to his terrorist collaborators, or identifies the internal source who facilitated a series of intellectual property thefts.

New control features released as part of Nuix v2.16 include the ability to add personalised metadata fields when indexing, allowing the user to make notes such as who started the eDiscovery investigation and include internal references that will make information even easier to find later on in the process.

Four additional export formats have been added, and new process bars have been inserted at various points in the indexing, search and export processes. Additional statistics in the Fast Review stage will allow the user to track the case's progress in other ways, by identifying how many colleagues have finished reviewing individual data sets.
