Nuix continues to expand its partnerships in the US with RVM

Nuix and leading US  litigation and eDiscovery support organization RVM are working together to help financial institutions, law firms and corporations, reduce the time, risk and cost of undertaking eDiscovery and corporate investigations.

The partnership is part of Nuix's strategy to partner with leading service providers around the world and utilizes our unique capabilities to fully process multiple-terabytes of data per day, across all languages with a special emphasis on difficult datasets such EMC's EmailXtender Archives and Microsoft's Exchange Database Files, which can be processed directly.

CEO of RVM, Vincent Brunetti, said Nuix gives RVM the tools to truly reduce the costs of discovery, by attacking the issue at its source û over broad collections.

"For years we have been looking for an early case assessment technology that allows our professional services team to arrive on site at 8am and have the client reviewing data by lunch time," Mr Brunetti said.

"Because Nuix can forensically index millions of emails and files per hour, it enables the fastest litigation, regulatory or internal investigation response.  Importantly, it also provides, for the first time, realistic pricing for real time discovery, regardless of the email archive or file store size."

RVM will leverage the Nuix software as part of the RVM AdvantageÖ.  The RVM Advantage provides clients of all sizes and skill sets with the tools and the talent to quickly, efficiently and cost effectively assess the validity of a legal threat, be it an internal audit, a human resources related claim or a product liability class action.  Cases can be won, lost or settled quietly depending on the organization's ability to quickly search its vast quantities of data, analyze the results and make informed legal strategy decisions.

"From email servers to EMC's EmailXtender archive, corporations must be able to accurately and reliably search all of their data, regardless of its format or location," Mr Brunetti said.

"The RVM Advantage combines seasoned discovery consultants with Nuix's evolutionary software to assist corporations in finding the smoking gun.  If there is no clear smoking gun, but your team still smells smoke, the RVM Advantage can still significantly cull the dataset prior to sending it to counsel for review, saving time, money, and headaches."

North American CEO of Nuix, Morgan Sheehy, said because Nuix software was built to scale indefinitely, it comes into its own with the larger multi-terabyte datasets and archives.

"Nuix is specifically designed to investigate quickly and with forensic precision, archives in the tens of terabytes, with multiple languages, email formats and file types.  Nuix is unique among eDiscovery systems in terms of its ability to scale and deal with difficult datasets," Mr Sheehy said.

Mr Sheehy said financial institutions and other organisations are increasingly being asked by regulatory agencies to produce electronic documents, particularly emails, in very short timeframes and from enormous archives.

"They cannot afford to be late, but nor can they afford to give more or less than the requested information.  Fines in the US for late or non-production have been in the millions of dollars, and we expect this trend will expand globally."

"It is increasingly critical that all corporations within regulated environments become eDiscovery ready and find the best software and advisory teams to help them.  Our partnership with RVM lifts the bar for the eDiscovery community and process in the US."
