Ferrier Hodgson & Nuix Make e-Discovery Process Faster, Smarter & More Cost-Effective!

Advisory-Software Partnership Will Reduce the Time, Risk and Cost of eDiscovery and Corporate Investigations

(Hong Kong, Sydney: 26 February 2008): Ferrier Hodgson, the leading forensics, restructure & turnaround, financial advisory and corporate recovery specialist in Asia and Australian Enterprise eDiscovery software developer Nuix will dramatically reduce the time, risk and cost to undertake eDiscovery and corporate investigations for financial institutions, law firms and corporations .

Ferrier Hodgson Executive Director in charge of Forensics and eDiscovery, John Tudorovic, said investigations that used to take weeks or could not be carried out at all due to their size, complexity and language difficulties, can now be carried out in a matter of hours.

"Our partnership with Nuix means electronic discovery from any jurisdiction can be undertaken at speeds that leave the competition standing at the starting line" he said.

"We can collect, process, de-duplicate, cull, search and analyse data in real-time, and in all Asian languages, and most importantly, we can make the data available on either an intranet or over the Internet using secure means."

The partnership will enable Ferrier Hodgson to offer a new service to its clients, under the InSight brand, which will encompass a number of solutions to meet global litigation support requirements for the future.

The service will be utilised by clients who wish to outsource the management and processing of voluminous amounts of digital data from the US, Asia and especially China.   Corporations also have the option of installing the InSight software solution internally so they can have the ability to instantly respond to litigation, regulatory and investigative requests globally.

CEO of Nuix, Eddie Sheehy, said because Nuix software was originally built in conjunction with leading regulatory, military and investigative agencies, InSight brings unmatched forensic precision, speed and scale to corporate investigations.

"Financial institutions and other organisations are increasingly being asked by regulatory agencies to produce electronic documents, particularly emails, in very short timeframes.  They cannot afford to be late, but nor can they afford to give more than the requested information.  Fines in the US for late or non-production have been in the millions of dollars, and we expect this trend will expand globally."

"It is increasingly critical that all corporations become eDiscovery ready and find the best software and advisory teams to help them.  Our partnership with Ferrier Hodgson Hong Kong lifts the bar for the eDiscovery community and process in Asia."
