Linking to a PDF

You can set up 'Hyperlinks' that allow website visitors to view a linked PDF. They can be attached to an object, usually a text or an image. When linking to a PDF it is best practise to open the PDF document in a new browser window so that the user does not lose their place in your website. Here is an example PDF Examlpe

Navigate to the page that you wish to add the  PDF link and enter edit mode.

Highlight the text that you wish to act as the hyperlink and click on the Hyperlink icon:

In the displayed 'Hyperlink - Web Dialog' popup box, click on the Folder icon:

In the 'Asset Manager - Webpage Dialog' box click on Browse:

Select the PDF file you wish to link to and click Open. This then displays the 'Asset Manager - Webpage Dialog' box again with the file name inserted in the Upload File Field.

Select a folder or make a new folder that you wish to upload the PDF file to and then click upload button.

This Dialog box will be refreshed. Please make sure you upload to the selected folder and change file type to " All Files", otherwise repeat step 4 to 6 to reupload the file. Select the PDF file and click ok.

Select Blank from the target drop down list and click insert to create the link.
