Web Pages

The Web Pages menu consists of 11 sub menus. This menu enables you to make changes to individual pages on your site by adding and or editing the contents (images, text and layout).
The 11 sub menus are:
Pages: Displays the list of pages that make up your website by listing information such as; title of the page, page position, last created date, etc..
Highlights: The Highlights module enables you to publish the same piece of content across multiple pages of your website. You can specify the pages or sections where the content needs to appear and if you need to make any changes, you only have to update the content in one place.
Testimonials: The Testimonials module publishes customer testimonials on the pages of your website. The testimonials can be displayed on a specific page or all of the pages on your website.
Page Security: Displays the list of secured pages on your site and which group of users has permission to view the secured page. The permission is set by you, therefore you decide which group has access to which page and whether or not the group can make edit the page. See User Groups
Body Templates: A good start point for you to create a template that gets applied to a page on your site. And every other page that gets created under the default page will have the same template applied for consistency. You may wish to create a template called 'default', so every sub page that gets created under the main page will have the 'default' applied to it.
Message of The Day : Another feature you may wish to add to your website. This is a message that can be used to advertise your products or just a random message for recreational purposes. You can choose to have the message appear anywhere on every page or a selected page on your site. If there are more than one message, the messages will be generated randomly everytime the page is refreshed or another page is viewed.
Banners: Displays the list of images used as a banner to represent a product for your site or as an advertisment for your associate's site. You may want to use an image that relates to your products if you want to advertise your products within your site with a title like "This month's specials" that will direct the users to the specials page if they click on the image or if you wanted to advertise your associate's products, you could have an logo as the image that will direc the users to your assoicate's home page.
Rotating Image: Display the list of images one by one to represent serveral products or advertisment for your associate's site. The link can be added to each page which will link visitor to the details page if the rotated images get clicked.

The Pages menu displays the list of pages that is currently on your site and their heiracy. This is a good tool for viewing of all the pages and their sub pages. From here, it enables you to Add and or Delete pages, however it is highly recommended that you add and or delete through each of the individual pages. See the
Creating pages and
Deleting pages sections for details. The Highlights module enables you to publish the same piece of content across multiple pages of your website. You can specify the pages or sections where the content needs to appear and if you need to make any changes, you only have to update the content in one place.
The testimonials feature is an optional feature used in conjunction with your Template design. There are 2 testimonial features; Links (Removed from WebEd6) and HTML. If your template has the testimonials feature turned on, then this is where you can add or remove them as you wish.
Page Security allows you to set permission to a group of users that are currently using your site. This is useful, as you may wish to display some news on a certain page on your site, but you may not want every user reading it. So securing that particular page by giving authorization to a certain group will only allow that specific group with permission to view the secured page. This is the main Template that gets applied to a page on your site, usually being the default or home page. And every other page that gets created under the default or home page will have the main template applied to it. This is good practise, as it shows consistency throughout the site and making new page creation much more easier.
Banners are an image or logo used for advertisement purposes on your site, whether being an advertisement of your own product or an advertisement on behalf of an associate. The banner can be placed anywhere on a page. For example, if you wanted to advertise your clients products, you may wish to place their logo on the home page of your site, which can direct the users to their website once clicked on.
Rotating images is alternative way of represent images with links like
banners. A list of image shows one by one in a certain period of time continuously. And the image is linked to another detail page if it gets clicked.
Global Spell checker is a WebEd tool that allows you to run a spell check across all pages - all content - in the website. This works as any spell checker that highlights words that are not spelt correctly and prompts to Igonre or Replace the word.
