to your site using an FTP program
See using FTP
Copy your images to the /images/photo_gallery folder. Note: If you are uploading more than one gallery, you will need to create a separate folder for each gallery underneath this directory structure.
Your images will now appear on your photo gallery page.
Note: The thumbnail images that appear on the page are automatically created from your photos. You do not need to upload any additional thumbnail images.
Your images will display in the same dimensions as your uploaded image.
If you would like all of your images to be the same size, you will need to adjust the dimensions of your images using a photo editing program before you upload them. See using images in WebEd
for more details.
Naming images (order they will appear)
Your images will appear in alphabetical order by title of the photo. If you would like your photos in another order, you will need to add a number before the file name.
For example, if your images were named by subject, they would appear in this order on the page:
If you wanted the skiing photo to appear first and the ice skating photo to display last, you would need to add a number in front of the file name like this:
Linking to a photo gallery
If you would like to view a particular photo gallery but do not want it to appear within the content of a page, you can link directly to your photo gallery using your web browser.
For example, you may want to send a link to one of your clients showing them particular photos in the gallery, but you do not want all visitors to your site to be able to access them.
Send this address to your clients to view the gallery.
