Nuix continues to expand its partnerships in the US with RVM

Nuix is working with leading new York-based litigation and eDiscovery support company RVM to help financial institutions, law firms and corporations, reduce the time, risk and cost of undertaking eDiscovery and corporate investigations.

This new alliance is part of Nuix's strategy to partner with leading service providers around the world, utilizing our unique capabilities to fully process multiple-terabytes of data per day, across all languages with a special emphasis on difficult datasets such EMC's EmailXtender Archives and Microsoft's Exchange Database Files, which can be processed directly.

CEO of RVM, Vincent Brunetti, said Nuix gives RVM the tools to truly reduce the costs of discovery, by attacking the issue at its source û over broad collections.

"For years we have been looking for an early case assessment technology that allows our professional services team to arrive on site at 8am and have the client reviewing data by lunch time," Mr Brunetti said.

Nuix can now process EMC EmailXtender and Symantec Vault archives

Nuix can now undertake full eDiscovery processing of both EMC and Symantec Vault archives directly, making us the only eDiscovery software tool with this capability.
This is an enormous step forward for many of our customers, who - for the first time - are able to search their entire archived corporate emails with a forensic level of quality and assurance and unmatched speed.
Because of Nuix's Universal Indexing capability, they can then add any relevant additional information, such as computer hard drives, forensic images, internet cache, Exchange and Lotus Notes servers to enable a wholistic search over either an entire organisation's email or a subset thereof.
As our customers know, Nuix's search quality is second to none, powerfully finding and presenting the evidence about who sent what to whom in a matter of seconds.

Speed is your weapon in early case assessment

Nuix continues to improve the speed and scale of both its desktop and enterprise software solutions, which can save enterprises millions of dollars in costs during the early case assesssment phase of any eDiscovery investigation.
Right now Nuix is processing a terabyte of information in 14 hours, which is equivalent to 16 million emails with 14 million attachments.  Case sizes we are currently processing around the world scale up to billions of documents.
Because Nuix can process entire datasets with such speed, scale and precision, it is possible for companies to take everything that could contain possible evidence, process it quickly and undertake a rapid and effective early case assessment.  Costs can be drastically reduced by providing external experts such as lawyers or forensic investigators with only the minimum required data set.
And for the first time, enterprises can have 100% certainty that no document has been left behind.

41% of large companies are paying staffers to read employee email

A new survey by Forrester Research finds that 41 percent of large companies (those with 20,000 or more employees) are paying employees to read or otherwise analyze the contents of employees' outbound e-mail.   This further supports the fact that companies which do not have a proactive approach to email and data control are leavinging themselves open to enormous risk.  Quite simply, email is a time bomb.

The study found 44 percent of the companies surveyed had investigated an e-mail leak of confidential data in the past year and 26 percent said they fired an employee for violating e-mail policies.  However, this means that almost 60% of the companies surveyed most likely have unquantified and unmanaged email risk. Over the next twelve months this will change.

Nuix's increasing customer base around the world are recognising the large risk to their business that is held within their email archives and servers.  That is why many of them are moving to develop the capability to mine and search their data proactively.  What is clear to the early adopters is that email is different and cannot be searched in the same way as the internet or document management systems.
